A terrain clearance measuring radio wave being emitted from an airplane is received,
and changes in electric field intensity of the radio wave is input and recorded
to a computer, whereby the time of occurrence of a sharply appearing peak value
of the changes permits accurate measurement of the point-blank passing time, independent
of flight frequency.
