A method of producing cellulose carbamate by reacting cellulose with urea
heating the reaction mixture by electromagnetic radiation of a frequency
range between 100 MHz and 100 GHz for 2 minutes to 3 hours to a
temperature in the range from 100 to 250.degree. C.
