A method of analyzing a substance exhibiting absorption in the near infrared
(NIR)
region subjects the substance to NIR spectroscopy, processes the data using a partial
least squares (PLS) technique and identifies a component of the substance by performing
a topological near infrared (TOPNIR) analysis on the processed data.
