A fuel trap for a vehicle's fuel system, the liquid fuel trap comprises a housing
adapted for fitting within the vehicle's fuel tank and at least one fuel fluid
inlet port connectable to a fuel venting valve system, a gas outlet port connectable
to a fuel vapor treating system; and a liquid fuel discharge assembly for discharging
liquid fuel into the fuel tank, said liquid fuel discharge assembly fitted with
a fluid propelling mechanism responsive to acceleration and buoyant forces, and
to fuel motion within the fuel tank.
