A surgical kit, for example a percutaneous endoscopic gastrostomy kit, includes
a tray having a plurality of recesses formed therein for receiving surgical implements.
A substantially rigid accessory item container is received in a container recess
defined in the tray. The container is removable from the tray and includes a base
member and a lid. A securing device may be configured between the base member and
the lid so that the container is reclosable.
