A method of treating an infectious disease or condition in a subject in need
of
such treatment is disclosed. The method comprises administering to a subject an
effective amount of a manzamine, manzamine derivative or analog or an optical isomer
or racemate or tautomer thereof or a pharmaceutically acceptable salt thereof.
