The present invention relates to methods for making polyamide filaments, such
as nylon 6,6, having high tensile strength. The invention also relates to yarns
and other articles formed from such filaments. The invention is particularly useful
for providing a filament yarn with tenacity equal or superior to the prior art
at high spinning process speeds while retaining the ability to draw the yarn. The
invention further relates to providing a filament yarn extruded from a delustered
or pigmented polyamide polymer.
