A method and a device for stabilizing a vehicle having at least one wheel tending
to spin, are provided. In response to the tendency to spin, a driver-independent
braking intervention occurs in the at least one wheel. The engine torque is reduced
if the driver-independent braking intervention has not resulted in stabilizing
the vehicle.
