A composition, which includes ingredients capable of enhancing the immunogenic
effect of a vaccine, includes an aluminium salt and at least one ginsenoside, such
as a tri-terpenoid glycoside, preferably a tri-terpenoid glycoside of the structure
of Rb1. In one particular embodiment, the aluminium salt is Al(OH)3. A kit for
use as adjuvant or co-adjuvant of an immunogenic composition includes the composition.
The use of such a tri-terpenoid glycoside in the manufacture of a pharmaceutical
preparation enhanced the immunogenic effect of a vaccine. A pharmaceutical preparation
includes the composition and an aluminium salt, such as Al(OH)3 and a pharmaceutically
acceptable carrier.
