Surface-active photoinitiators

Compounds of formula Ia, Ib and Ic, (Ic), in which R, R₁ and R₂ are e.g. phenyl, naphthyl, anthracyl, phenanthryl or a heterocyclic radical, are suitable as photoinitiators which accumulate at the surface of coatings.
