When measuring body fat through use of a TV remote control unit, the body of
a person to be subjected to body fat measurement is brought into contact with current
application electrodes and voltage measurement electrodes, which are subjected
to application of a sinusoidal waveform signal and have a connection configuration
of substantially two-electrode type. When a match has arisen between varying voltages
developing between the voltage measurement electrodes a predetermined number of
times, the voltage is taken as a result of measurement of bio-impedance.
