The present invention relates to subterranean operations, and more particularly,
to settable fluids comprising vitrified shale and hydrated lime and methods of
using such settable fluids in subterranean applications. In an exemplary embodiment,
the settable fluids of the present invention may be used as a displacement fluid.
In another exemplary embodiment, the settable fluids of the present invention may
be used as a drilling fluid.
