Provided is a cathode electrode including a current collector, and a cathode
electrode active material layer laminated on the current collector, a method of
making the cathode electrode, and a battery including the cathode electrode. The
cathode electrode active material includes particles having a core-shell structure
with a sulfur-containing active material core, a conductor coating disposed on
a surface of the active material core, and a binder coating disposed on the conductor
coating. A high-performance lithium sulfur battery can be manufactured using the
cathode electrode, since sufficient bondability can be attained with only a small
amount of a binder.
