The present invention relates to a process of removing organic halogen-containing
compounds from a liquid stream mainly containing one or more of the compounds selected
from the group consisting of glycol, water and alcohol, which process involves
contacting the stream with an ion-exchange material containing basic anions selected
from the group of hydroxide, carbonate and bicarbonate.
