A combination tuner includes a switching circuit having three transistors which
are selectively turned on and off so that one of a television signal received by
a first signal receiving unit using an external antenna that is a high sensitivity
antenna, an FM signal received by a second signal receiving unit using an internal
antenna that is a low sensitivity antenna, and an FM signal received by the first
signal receiving unit using the external antenna is selected according to three-mode
band data. Therefore, the combination tuner can select an antenna for receiving
a desirable FM signal according to the reception field intensity of the target
FM signal so that the FM signal can always be reproduced successfully.
