The invention relates to novel polynucleotides from Ashbya gossypii; to
oligonucleotides hybridizing therewith; to expression cassettes and
vectors which comprise these polynucleotides; to microorganisms
transformed therewith; to polypeptides encoded by these polynucleotides;
and to the use of the novel polypeptides and polynucleotides as targets
for improving transmembrane transport and, in particular, improving
vitamin B2 production in microorganisms of the genus Asbya.
