A recording medium for an inkjet printer includes a substrate and an ink receiving
layer formed thereon and has an ink absorbing layer having a pigment and a binder,
and an ink fixation layer having the pigment, the binder and polyether siloxane
copolymer. The recording medium has good coating surface properties by improving
surface wetting, a leveling property and flowability by adding the polyether siloxane
copolymer to the ink fixation layer during coating, as a component enhancing physical
properties of the ink fixation layer.
