The present invention provides a clocking system such that the magnetic sensor
can detect the external magnetic field from the magnetic member that is rather
far apart therefrom without increasing the sensitivity of the magnetic sensor excessively
and without making the magnet constructing the magnetic member strong excessively.
A clocking system is characterized by comprising: a magnetic member to be installed
at a certain place; and a clocking apparatus having a magnetic sensor for detecting
a magnetic field and generating a signal; control means for transmitting a control
signal when a signal generated by the magnetic sensor corresponds to a magnetic
field having a certain strength; clocking means for clocking according to start
and termination of clocking on the basis of the control signal; storage means for
storing the clocked time; and display means for displaying the stored time, wherein
the magnetic member includes a plurality of magnets that are arranged in a line,
and the magnets are arranged adjacent with each other in such a manner that the
same poles are faced in a certain direction approximately perpendicular to a linear
direction in which the magnets are arranged.
