A scanning lens molded with resin is disclosed. The lens has a first lens surface
which a light beam incident to, and a second lens surface which emits the light
beam. The lens further includes a first lens frame formed to project from the first
lens surface, the first lens frame is provided on at least a part of the periphery
of the first lens surface. The lens further includes a second lens frame formed
to project from the second lens surface. The second lens frame is provided on at
least a part of the periphery of the second lens surface. At least one of the first
and second lens frames has approximately constant projection amount along with
the main-scanning direction of the scanning lens.
