The invention provides a structured document preparation method wherein a plurality
of different logical structures can be defined with a single document type definition
so that structured documents of a plurality of logical structures can be prepared
and managed readily. A plurality of element declarations which respectively define
a plurality of different logical structures and also a plurality of entity declarations
which respectively designate the defined different logical structures are described
into a document type definition, and one of the plurality of entity declarations
is validated to validate a corresponding one of the plurality of element declarations.
Then, a structured document is prepared with the logical structure defined by the
validated element declaration.
