A filter system for adsorbing contaminants from an exhaust stream from a molten
carbonate fuel cell including a filter substrate, a high surface area inorganic
adsorbent secured to the filter substrate by an inorganic binder and an inorganic
acid secured to the filter substrate. Also disclosed is a process for preparing
the filter system for filtering exhaust gas from the molten carbonate fuel cell
and a process for using the filtering system in a molten carbonate fuel cell system.
