The present invention relates to a method for verifying the authenticity of an
image recorded in a person identifying process and belonging to a person to be
identified, the method comprising the steps of recording a sequence of consecutive
individual images of the person and determining the authenticity of the recorded
image if at least in two consecutive individual images of the sequence intrinsic
movements are detected, i.e. movements which are carried out by the person to be
identified consciously or unconsciously and without changes in his or her center
of gravity.
