The method consists, from a profile having a section corresponding either
to the envelope of the base of the symbol or to that of its section, in
first of all machining the feet, transferring the preformed profile in a
clamp, gripping the symbol by the feet, cutting the preform, shaping and
diamondpolishing all of the visible faces of said symbol, and
transferring said finished symbol into an individual packing tray using a
robot.
