When a device ID of a second, or subsequent, host computer contends with a device
ID of another device that can be connected to a SCSI bus, a reset signal (RST)
is applied to a SCSI control bus input of the contending device. The contention
is determined by detecting whether a terminal power of the second, or subsequent,
host computer is active.
