A donor element is described for use in a thermal imaging process. The donor
element
includes a support: a heating layer; a colorant containing transfer layer; and
an overcoat layer comprising a wax having a melting point ranging from about 30
C. to about 350 C. Typically the wax is a natural vegetable wax, a mineral
wax or a synthetic wax.
