Humoral and cellular immune responses against tumor cells and infectious
agents are induced in a mammal using a vaccine comprising antibodies and anti-idiotype
antibodies that mimic an epitope of antigen that is associated with a tumor or
infectious agent. Antibodies and cytokines also may be used to amplify the immune
cascade. Moreover, antibodies and anti-idiotype antibodies can be used to produce
T cells that are not MHC-restricted and that are targeted to tumor cells and infectious agents.
