The multi-layered magnetoresistance effect film 1 includes a multi-layered film 4 of a pattern made up of magnetic layers 10 and non-magnetic electrically conductive layers 11, repeatedly layered together, and electrically conductive layers 3, 5 formed on at least one end face in the layering direction of the multi-layered film 4. The resistivity of the electrically conductive layers 3, 5 is selected to be larger than that of the magnetic layer 10. The magnetoresistance effect device has the above-defined multi-layered magnetoresistance effect film 1, while the magnetoresistance effect magnetic head has the above-defined magnetoresistance effect device.
