Disclosed is a process for making a detergent composition comprising the steps of: i) making a detergent based composition comprising a solid acid source; ii) coating the solid acid source with a detergent surfactant; and iii) further adding an alkaline source and agglomerating said alkaline source with said acid source; and wherein the alkaline source and the acid source are capable of reacting together to produce a gas. Detergent compositions thus prepared show improved dispersability. Methods of laundering fabrics using such detergent compositions are disclosed.
