A method (and system) for quantifying a three-dimensional model of interference
in a cellular wireless communication network. The model is derived from the acquisition
and analysis of composite signals as part of a survey of ground-level locations
and above-ground-level locations within the intended coverage zone of the cellular
wireless communication network. Reliable identification and correlation of signal
components are derived by analysis of the acquired composite signals that uses
time-of-arrival of a known part of a signal (e.g., the FCCH burst used in GSM for
frequency correction).
