The vehicle remote controller includes a portable device carried by a driver and a transceiver (11) arranged in the vehicle to output a request signal for intercommunicating with the portable device and to output a transponder driving radio wave. The transceiver outputs the request signal to either a first area, which is in a vehicle passenger compartment, or an area outside the vehicle, and has a common antenna (14) for outputting the transponder driving radio wave to a second area, which is in the vehicle passenger compartment.
