The method for moving contents includes the steps of analyzing a copy control code of the contents when a user desires to move the contents from a first storage medium to a second storage medium and storing the contents in the second storage medium by converting the copy control code of the contents according to the result of analysis, thereby providing improved convenience to the user as long as copyrights are not infringed by storing the stored contents in the second storage medium.
