A mode switching control device of a vehicle air-conditioning apparatus capable
of selecting vent mode delivery, whereby air is delivered to an upper part of the
inside of a passenger compartment; foot mode delivery, whereby air is delivered
to a lower part of the passenger compartment; and bi-level mode delivery, whereby
the vent mode delivery and the foot mode delivery are implemented together. Even
when on the basis of a target outlet temperature foot mode delivery has been selected,
when the occupant insolation level is above a predetermined level the control device
switches to the bi-level mode to provide the occupant with a comfortable air-conditioning
feeling even when the vehicle is running.
