A simulated stained glass modular electroluminescent article is comprised of
electroluminescent
modules. Each module is comprised of electroluminophores arranged in a predetermined
decorative pattern, a pair of electroconductive walls trapping these electroluminophores,
and a plurality of lead-simulating strips coinciding with the boundaries of the
electroluminophores. Under the application of electrical current, the flat panels
or tree-dimensional articles constructed from the electroluminescent modules, emit
light which is visually consistent with sunlight passing through a stained glass.
