Method of somatic cell count in milk from animals, and an apparatus therefore
enabling individual somatic cell count for milk from each teat, i.e. udder quarter,
by connecting a teatcup to a first teat, taking a sample of the total milk for
the first teat when the flow of milk from the first teat exceeds a predefined value,
connecting a the to at least one further teat, taking a sample of the total milk
for said first and at least one further teat when the flow of milk from the first
and further teats exceeds a predefined value, and calculating the estimated somatic
cell count (SCC2, SCC3, SCC4) for the milk from the further teats.
