An emulsifier system comprising

    • a) a salt of a sulfuric monoester of a C9-C15 alcohol or of an alkoxylated C9-C15 alcohol, and
    • b) an alkoxylated C8-C16 alcohol,

      and the use of this emulsifier system for preparing aqueous polymer dispersions.
