A system for controlling the closing of a window has a first functionality for locking a window against being closed by a single, user initiated closing action, and a second functionality for closing the locked window by a plurality of user initiated closing actions. Because a plurality of closing actions is required to close a window, the unintended closing of a window is substantially prevented.
