The anthraquinone process for producing hydrogen peroxide, including a hydrogenation
step, an oxidation step and an extraction step. The oxidation waste gas leaving
the oxidation reactor at an excess pressure is passed as a propellant jet to one
or more gas jets and whereby a vacuum is produced for auxiliary processes, such
as drying of the working solution, distillation of the aqueous hydrogen peroxide
solution and drawing off of ventilator gases from solvent storage tanks.
