A process for achieving dcor on surface elements (1) which comprises
a decorative upper layer (2) and a supporting core (5). A selected
main dcor is entered via a terminal, the selected dcor emanating from
the group consisting of; an archetype digitized via digital camera or scanner and
a digitized dcor from a database. The dimensions of the surface to be covered
by surface elements (1) and the desired dimension of the dcor is entered
into the terminal. Support programs is then used for calculating the segmentation
of the main dcor to cover more than one surface element. The result of the
selections and calculations is visualized via the terminal.
