The present invention provides a JNK inhibitor comprising, as an active ingredient, an indazole derivative represented by Formula (I) [wherein R.sup.1 represents substituted or unsubstituted aryl or the like and R.sup.2 represents a hydrogen atom, NR.sup.3R.sup.4 (wherein R.sup.3 and R.sup.4 may be the same or different and each represents a hydrogen atom, substituted or unsubstituted lower alkanoyl or the like), carboxy, lower alkenyl or the like] or a pharmaceutically acceptable salt thereof.
