The present invention relates to chiral N-acetyl-alpha-amino acid salts of optically active -amino alkylnitriles, and also to a process for preparing optically active -amino alkylnitriles by resolving racemic -amino alkylnitriles using chiral N-acetyl-alpha-amino acids as resolving agent.
