A fuel filter device includes a first member made of a plastic and having a connecting
portion to be connected to a fuel intake port, and a second member made of a plastic
and assembled with the first member for forming an interior space communicating
with the connecting portion. One or both of the first member and the second member
are provided with a fuel intake portion, and a filter member having a single layer
structure or a multi-layer structure in a sheet shape or a mat shape is disposed
between the first member and the second member to cover the inflow portion from
a side of the interior space. Accordingly, the filter device can be easily and
adequately produced.
