There are described triazine derivatives of formula (1), wherein R1
is an unsubstituted or mono- or poly-hydroxy-, C1-C18 alkyl-,
C1-C18 alkoxy-, amino-, C1-C5 monoalkylamino-
or di-C1-C5 alkylamino-substituted C1-C18
alkyl, C2-C18 alkenyl, C6-C10 aryl
or C6-C10 heteroaryl radical; unsubstituted or C1-C5
alkyl-substituted C5-C7 cycloalkyl or C5-C7
cycloalkenyl; —OR; or —NRR"; R2 is
hydrogen; an unsubstituted or mono- or poly-hydroxy-, C1-C18 alkoxy-,
cyano-, amino, C1-C5 monoalkylamino- or di-C1-C5
alkylamino-substituted C1-C18 alkyl, C2-C18
alkenyl; C6-C10 aryl or C6-C10 heteroaryl
radical; —OR; or —NRR"; or R1 and R2
together form a 5- to 7-membered carbocyclic or heterocyclic ring; A is C1-C5
alkyl; an unsubstituted or hydroxy-, C1-C18 alkyl-
or C1-C18 alkoxy-substituted C6-C10 aryl
or heteroaryl radical; or a radical of formula (1a); R and R" are
each independently of the other hydrogen; unsubstituted or mono- or poly-hydroxy-,
halo-, C1-C18 alkyl-, C1-C18 alkoxy-,
amino- or quaternary ammonium group-substituted C1-C18 alkyl,
C5-C7 cycloalkyl or phenyl; R3 is hydrogen; or
C1-C6 alkyl; and n is 0 or 1. The compounds according to
the invention are suitable especially as sun protective agents in cosmetic, pharmaceutical
and veterinary medicine preparations
