The invention relates to a single-layer or multilayer film made of at least one O.sub.2 barrier layer that essentially consists of a mixture of ethylene vinyl alcohol copolymer (EVOH) and at least one multi polyamide, the use of the film for packaging perishable, gas-generating products such as food, and a packaging for perishable, gas-generating products, which is made of the film, particularly a cheese-aging bag.
