of about 800.degree. C. or above; a low-temperature carbonized charcoal
which is carbonized at a temperature of about 500.degree. C. or below;
and alginic acid or its salt or calcium oxide. A combination of a
high-temperature carbonized charcoal, a low-temperature carbonized
charcoal, and alginic acid or calcium oxide could have significantly
improved the absorption activity of the charcoal.
