The organic electroluminescent device includes a substrate, a first electrode over the substrate, at least one organic electroluminescent layer on the first electrode, a second electrode of a transparent conductive material on the at least one organic electroluminescent layer, a top passivation layer on the second electrode, and a compensation layer including at least an antireflection coating material or an antiglare coating material.
