A tracked vehicle has smooth driving and idler wheels (6, 7, 8, 9), which
frictionally transmit the tractive force to tracks (3, 4), e.g. rubber
tracks, and which are mounted on a frame (3) of the vehicle which carries
at least one driving engine (11). To avoid the slipping of the tracks on
the driving and idler wheels, both the two front idler wheels (6, 7) and
the two rear idler wheels (8, 9) are respectively driven. The front
wheels are hydraulically driven, while the rear wheels may be
hydraulically or mechanically driven.
