The invention relates to a stent manufactured from an alloy which contains at least 60% by weight, based on the weight of the alloy, of one or more metals selected from the group of gold, platinum, palladium and silver, silver being used only in combination with gold, platinum and/or palladium, and the alloy having a yield point of at least 200 N/mm.sup.2 and an elongation at break of at least 8%.
