Substituted thiazole-benzoisothiazole dioxide derivatives, process for their preparation and their use. The invention relates to compounds of the formula I ##STR00001## in which the radicals have the stated meanings, and to the physiologically tolerated salts thereof. The compounds are suitable for example as medicaments for lowering the blood glucose and for the prevention and treatment of diabetes.
