Compounds of formula (I) or a pharmaceutically acceptable salt thereof are
disclosed: ##STR00001## in which R.sup.a is a group of formula (i)
##STR00002## wherein P.sup.2 is phenyl, naphthyl, heteroaryl or a 5 to 7
membered heterocyclic ring; P.sup.3 is phenyl, naphthyl or heteroaryl;
R.sup.1 is NR.sup.4COR.sup.5, NR.sup.4SO.sub.2R.sup.5,
CH.sub.2NR.sup.4SO.sub.2R.sup.5, CH.sub.2NR.sup.4COR.sup.5 or
CH.sub.2NR.sup.4CO.sub.2R.sup.5 where R.sup.4 and R.sup.5 are
independently hydrogen or C.sub.1-6alkyl; R.sup.2 and R.sup.3 are
independently halogen, C.sub.1-6alkyl, C.sub.3-6cycloalkyl,
C.sub.1-6alkoxy, COC.sub.1-6alkyl, haloC.sub.1-6alkyl, cyano or
NR.sup.6R.sup.7 where R.sup.6 and R.sup.7 are independently hydrogen or
C.sub.1-6alkyl; b and c are independently 0, 1, 2 or 3; Y is a single
bond, CH.sub.2 or NH; W is --(CR.sup.9R.sup.10).sub.t--where t is 2, 3 or
4 and R.sup.9 and R.sup.10 are independently hydrogen or C.sub.1-6alkyl
or W is a group CH.dbd.CH; R.sup.b is hydrogen, halogen, C.sub.1-6alkyl,
haloC.sub.1-6alkyl, COC.sub.1-6alkyl, cyano or C.sub.1-6alkoxy; and
R.sup.c is hydrogen or C.sub.1-6alkyl. Processes for preparation of the
compounds and their uses in therapy, particularly depression, are also
disclosed.
