The invention relates to 2-imidazo-benzothiazoles of general formula ##STR00001## wherein R.sup.1, R.sup.2, R.sup.3, R.sup.4, R.sup.5, R.sup.6, R.sup.7, R', R'', X, R''' and n are defined herein, or a pharmaceutically acceptable salt thereof.It has been found that the compound of formula I are adenosine receptor ligands with good affinity to the A.sub.1 and A.sub.3 receptors. These compounds have useful pharmaceutical activities.
